Other Information:Percy joined the R.A.M.C. (T.F.) on 21st April 1913. He was 23 years and 7 months old; was living at 80 Ross Road, Hereford; and was a Labourer by trade, working for Hereford Corporation. On 5th August 1914 he was embodied into the 1/1st South Wales Mounted Brigade Field Ambulance but continued to serve in the UK. On 19th March 1917, he left the Territorial Force and became a member of the regular R.A.M.C. His service number changed to 92398. On 22nd May 1917, he embarked at Southampton - his destination was Salonika. He disembarked at Le Havre on 23rd May, then embarked again at Marseilles on 21st June, finally arriving in Salonika on 28th June 1917, with an advanced party of No 48 General Hospital. He served with No 48 General Hospital until 25th November, when he embarked for Italy with members of No 66 General Hospital. Percy arrived in Italy on 27th November, and served there until 29th March 1918. He then left Italy for France, arriving 31st March 1918. Percy served in France with the 100th Field Ambulance until 10th June 1919, when he returned to the UK. He was disembodied on 8th June 1919 but re-enlisted on 21st March 1921 - his service number changing to 7255752. He was mobilized on 11th April 1921 becoming attached to "A" Coy. He finally left the army on 20th March 1925. Percy was the husband of Daisy Langford of 36 Friars Street, Hereford.
