Other Information:Ernest previously served under the service number 20735, with the West Yorks Regiment. He entered the war serving with with the R.A.M.C. An Advanced Dressing Station was opened at 10.35a.m., around the area of Villeret. It remained open, dealing with 3 officers and 56 other ranks as casualties until 6.00p.m., when orders were received to move it back to an area about Beaurevoir. It was here that Edward was killed.
