Other Information:

William entered the war in France on the 19th August 1914. He was discharged due to his term of engagement expiring on the 31st August 1915. William must have re-enlisted and was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal "For conspicuous gallantry; he performed many acts of bravery in dressing and carrying in wounded men under fire."
