Other Information:William came from Birmingham. He entered the war in the Balkans on 7th August 1915. He was awarded the Military Medal whilst serving with the 1st Field Ambulance on 2nd October 1918. On 28th May 1919 he was serving with the 141st Field Ambulance when he was admitted to hospital 'sick' and evacuated to No 47 Casualty Clearing Station. He was still serving with the 141st Field Ambulance on 7th June 1919 when he proceeded to No 1 Concentration Camp, Cologne for dispersal and was struck off the strength of the unit.
