Other Information:Frank previously served in the Militia with the Lancaster Fusileers, and saw active service in South Africa. He transferred to the R.A.M.C. on 7th November 1902. He was 21 years old, and was a labourer by trade. Having served his appointed time he was transferred to 1st Class Army Reserve on 6th November 1905, but was mobilized at the outbreak of war and posted to serve with the 12th Field Ambulance. He entered the war in France, however, on 19th August 1914 with the 2nd Field Ambulance. He returned to the UK on 9th November 1915 with instructions to report to the Officer Commanding the R.A.M.C. Depot, Aldershot for discharge due to termination of his service time. 6 days later, on 15th November, he was discharged from the army.
