Other Information:Alfred enlisted into the Oxfordshire Light Infantry on 13th August 1902. He was 18 years and 2 months old; was a labourer by trade; and was living in London at the time. He transferred to the R.A.M.C. on 6th July 1909, and was serving with them when war was declared, mobilizing on 5th August 1914 with the 2nd Field Ambulance, he entered the war in France on 19th August 1914. Having reached his term of engagement on 5th August 1915 he returned to England, where he was discharged from the colours on the 12th. He was the son of John Nugent of 181 Alderminster Road, Bermondsey, London.
