Other Information:Harry enlisted on 16th June 1903. He was 18 years and 6 months old at the time. Having served his appointed time he was transferred to Army Reserve on 15th June 1906, but was mobilized due to the outbreak of war. He re-joined at Aldershot on 5th August 1914, where he posted to serve with the 2nd Field Ambulance. He entered the war in France, with them, on 19th August 1914. On 17th July 1917 he served under the rank of acting Corporal (with pay) but reverted back to the rank of Private on 26th February 1918. He served overseas until 4th July 1918, when he returned to the UK. On 14th July 1918 he was in hospital in Weymouth. He remained in service until 11th February 1919, when he was transferred to Class Z Army Reserves. He remained on this list until 31st August 1920. He was the son of Jane Billenness of Shoreditch.
