Other Information:John enlisted on 30th October 1915, then joined at Aldershot on 8th November 1915. He was 26 years and 176 days old; was a Painter by trade; and was living at 105 Gospel Oak Road, Ockers Hill, Tipton at the time. He embarked at Southampton on 3rd March 1917, then disembarking at Rouen the next day, entered the war in France on 4th March 1917. He was posted to serve with the 2nd Field Ambulance, joining them in the field on 23rd March 1917. On 19th November 1917 he was admitted into the hospital of the 141st Field Ambulance suffering from 'GSWs' to his right foot, his left leg, and his right thigh. He was evacuated back to No 4 Casualty Clearing Station, where he died from his wound. He was the brother of Alice M Bibbs of 105 Gospel Oak Road, Ocker Hill, Tipton, Staffs.
