Other Information:Walton enlisted into the Medical Staff Corps on 18th September 1893. He was 21 years old, and a Medical Attendant by trade. He transferred to Army Reserve on 4th January 1903 but re-engaged from 18th September 1905. Then transferring to Army Reserve again, he re-engaged on 18th September 1913, and was mobilised at the outbreak of war to serve with the 2nd Field Ambulance, entering the war in France with them on 19th August 1914. On 16th November 1914 he returned to the UK, then transferred to serve with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force on 21st March 1915. On 31st October 1915 he returned again to the UK. He was discharged from the Army on 30th March 1916 due to his his service time expiring. His postal address at the time was 118 Medway Road, Gillingham, Kent. He was the son of George and Minnie Prime.
