Other Information:Francis lived in the Cramlington area of Northumberland working in the coalmining industry. At some point he moved to Callerton – a small mining village near Westerhope, Newcastle. Francis entered the war in France on the 31st July 1915. He was discharged due to wounds and received a Silver War Badge. After the war he returned to the mining industry, working at North Walbottle Colliery until his retirement. He later moved onto the village of Westerhope, where he died at 2 Boyd Terrace.
