George enlisted on 15th October 1915. He was 25 years and 2 months old and a baker by trade. He joined at Aldershot on the 17th. On 20th January 1916 he embarked at Southampton, then disembarking at Rouen the next day he entered the war in France on 21st January 1916. George was posted to serve with the 46th Field Ambulance, in the field, on the 26th and was serving with this unit when he was killed. He was the son of George Alfred and Edith Linda Cabot of Bristol Villa, George Town, Jersey
