Other Information:Henry had previously served in the Sudan and South African Campaign. He had worked his way up through the ranks to Staff Serjeant, Warrant Officer Class 1 and finally to Lieutenant and Quartermaster, being awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal. He had only just entered the war in France on 3rd May 1916. Henry was the husband of A Maffey of May Villa, Harold Road, Clacton-on-Sea, Essex.
