Other Information:Daniel enlisted into the RAMC on the 12th October 1914, he was posted to serve with the 1st (Reserve) Welsh Field Ambulance, Territorial Force, under the service number 1755. On the 3rd October 1916, Daniel was posted to 'Z' Coy, his service number changed to 88498, and he was sent to the Training Center at Crookham, where, on the 4th November, he was promoted to Corporal. He proceeded overseas from Southampton on the 18th November 1916, arriving in Rouen two days later. On the 28th, Daniel was posted to No 76 Field Ambulance, where from the 15th December he was attached to the 110th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. Daniel died of wounds received in the field, he was the son of William George and Margaret Collard of "Eastville" Holland Street, Ebbw Vale, Mon.
