Other Information:Abraham was educated at Burgerschool, Amsterdam, and at Edinburgh University - entering in 1904, he graduated M.B. and Ch.B. in 1910, and M.D., with commendation in 1913. He also took the London D.P.H. in 1914 and the F.R.C.S. in 1915. After this he filled the posts of house-physician at the Royal Southern Hospital, Liverpool, and of house-physician and house surgeon at the Liverpool Infirmary for Children. After serving in the first part of the war as surgeon to the Florence Fiennes Hospital at Dunkirk, he took a temporary commission as lieutenant in the R.A.M.C. on 19th July 1915, and was promoted to captian on completion of one year's service. He was wounded and gassed on 23rd October 1917 and died of gas poisoning the following day. Abraham was the husband of Mollie Philips of 31 Darvin Road, Southampton.
