Other Information:Thomas entered the war in France on 11th August 1915. On 31st July 1917 he was admitted �sick� to the hospital of the 1st Field Ambulance, then was discharged to duty and rejoined his unit on 4th August 1917. On 16th August 1917 he proceeded to report to the 3rd Brigade H.Q. for temporary duty as a cyclist runner. On 22nd September 1917 he proceeded to the 3rd Infantry Brigade Signals for duty vice 56499 Pte E A Hicks. He rejoined the 141st Field Ambulance from the 3rd Infantry Brigade Signals on 24th November 1917, but returned to them for temporary duty on 4th December 1917. On 12th December 1917 he returned to his unit from the 3rd Infantry Brigade Signals, but again re-joined them for temporary duty on 23rd December 1917. On 8th February 1918 Thomas rejoined the unit for duty from the 3rd Brigade Signals, and remained with his unit until 11th November 1918 when he was evacuated sick to a casualty clearing station.
