Other Information:Percy enlisted on 4th September 1915, then joined at Aldershot on the 6th. He was 20 years and 7 months old, was a Clerk by trade; and was living at 210 Rarrin Lane, Winton Patricroft, Manchester. He joined the 105th Field Ambulance on 23rd October 1915, then embarked, with his unit, at Southampton on 28th January 1916. He disembarked the next day at Havre, entering the war in France on 29th January 1916. Percy was admitted into his unit on 25th November, with the diagnoises 'P.U.O.', and was discharged on the 1st December. He was then admitted again on 16th February 1917, suffering from Pleurisy and was transferred down the chain of evacuation to Amiens, where he remained until 6th March, when he was discharged back to his unit. He was again admitted suffering with Infuenza and died in 62 Casualty Clearing Station. He was the son of Catherine and John Ashworth of Winton Patricroft, Manchester.
