Other Information:William was educated at Sherborne Schooland Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He was a student at St Bartholomew's Hospital from 1915. In 1916 he went to the Isonzo front with the Red Cross Field Ambulance but returned a few months later to qualify, obtaining the diplomas of M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P. in November 1917. Early in 1918, William was given a commission as Lieutenant in the R.A.M.C. and went to France. He died of wounds received while accompanying a party of stretcher-bearer to the front line. He was the son of Alfred and Catherine Mary Dandridge of "Hillside," Brundall, Norwich.
