Other Information:George was educated at the John Neilson Institution, Paisley and the Glasgow High School from where he proceede to Glasgow University in 1909. He graduated M.B. and Ch.B. with distinction in surgery in 1914 and also took two prizes in Clinical Medicine. After graduation he filled posts of House Surgeon and House Pyysician at the Royal Alexandra Infirmary, Paisley and subsequently that of Resident Medical Officer at the Paisley Burgh Isolation Hospital and Assistant to the Burgh MOH. In the earliest days of the war George offered his services to the military and after a delay received a commission in the R.A.M.C., being later promoted to Captain. Hard at work right up until the evening of the 18th March 1916, he had to give up in the morning of the 19th and died on the morning of the 23rd of cerebro-spinal meningitis.
