Other Information:Wilson was described as a Queen's Island Man and lived at 3 Liffey Street, Belfast. He entered the war in France on the 5th October 1915. He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. With an N.C.O. he was bringing down a party of twenty walking wounded when he was blown down and rendered unconscious by a shell-burst. When he came to he found that the N.C.O. had been seriously wounded and the party scattered. He dressed the N.C.O.'s wounds, got his party together again, and after conducting them down, took the stretcher squad back and brought in the N.C.O."
