Other Information:Harold lived in Colchester. He entered the war in the Balkans on the 18th October 1915. Harold was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. His sympathetic care and treatment of the sick and wounded, and his magnificent work in the field on many occasions when in charge of stretcher bearers collecting wounded, often under heavy fire, have been of inestimable value."
