Other Information:Allan was single and a grocer by trade. He enlisted at Harrogate on 15th October 1914, joined the RAMC at Sheffield on 16th October 1914 and was posted to the 33rd Field Ambulance for training. On 5th July 1915 he embarked for Gallipoli with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force disembarking in Egypt on 18th July 1915. On 21st November 1915 he was admitted to the 21st General Hospital, Alexandria, Egypt diagnosed with chronic renal disease (Nephritis) and on 5th December 1915 invalided home to England on H. M. Hospital Ship ‘Delta’ arriving back in the UK on 14th December 1915. He was discharged at Aldershot from the army classed as medically unfit on 6th November 1916. His pension record states he died on 15th March 1920 and the C.W.G.C. states he died on 13th. Allan was the son of Arthur and Margaret Reynard of 34 Cecil Street, Harrogate.
