Other Information:George enlisted on 4th March 1903. He was 24 years and 3 months old, was a drapers clerk by trade, and was living in London at the time. He was mobilised on 6th August 1914, after war broke out, to serve with No 6 Ambulance Train. He entered the war in France on 15th August 1914. On 12th May 1915 he was transferred from No 6 Ambulance Train to Base Details. He was then posted to serve with No 3 Casualty Clearing Station on 24th May 1915. On 19th February 1916 he was temporarily attached to No 17 Casualty Clearing Station before being discharged to Rouen, where on 2nd March 1916 he was transferred to England for discharge. He arrived in England the following day, and was discharged due to the termination of his Period of engagement on 9th March 1916.
