Other Information:Albert enlisted on 13th June 1913. He was a Shepherd by trade at the time. He entered the war in France on 17th August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 4th Dragoon Guards. On 17th February 1915 he was wounded in France. In May 1915 he was stationed in Malta. Then from October 1916 he provided nursing support on hospital ships, being onboard the Hospital Ship "Galeka" when it was mined off Le Havre on 28th October 1916. After returning to the UK he served with 48th Coy until he was discharged to Reserve on 16th March 1919. He married on 2nd April 1918 in Wokingham, and lived at Hope Cottage, Wylye. Wilts. He was the son of Edward and Elizabeth Hibberd.
