Other Information:Harry entered the war in France on 17th August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 16th Lancers. His name appears on a list of R.A.M.C. personnel who were taken captive up to & including 31st December 1914 - (kindly provided by Steve Mattocks). He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He collected wounded in the open and organised his stretcher-bearers all day and night under heavy fire."
