Other Information:George entered the war in France on 9th September 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 6th Divisional Ammunition Column. He was serving with the 19th Field Ambulance when he went into the field at Erquinghem for a rest, by sitting in the sun near the river, with 17454 S/Sjt Edward Cecil Allport and 15430 Sjt John Pollock when a shell came over and fatally wounded them all. George was the husband of Mrs M Male of 14 Connaught Road, Hove, Brighton.
