Other Information:Charles was educated at Dunedin High School, Otago University, N.Z., and Edinbugh University - entering as a student of medicine in 1905, he qualified M.B., Ch.B. in 1910. He later qualified D.T.M. (Liverpool) in 1911; M.D. in 1912; and D.P.H. (Dublin) in 1913. He joined the R.A.M.C., Special Reserve in August 1914, at the rank of Lieutenant, then entered the war in France on the 19th August 1914. Charles was the son of Walter and Annie Iles of Dunedin, New Zealand; and the husband of Margaret Iles of 90 Faversham Road, Catford, London.
