Other Information:Percy enlisted on 21st April 1913. He was 17 years and 11 months old (his parents gave their consent), and he was a Boilermakers Assistant by trade. He entered the war in France on 23rd August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 2nd Bn. Essex Regiment. On 25th March 1915 he received a severe shell wound to both legs and was evacuated back to the UK, arriving on 2nd April 1915. He served the remainder of the war in the UK. He was discharged from the colours on 24th January 1919. He was the son of William and Mary Blundell of 6 Mansfield Road, Northampton.
