Other Information:Alexander qualified at Glasgow University of Glasgow, qualifying on 11th November 1905. He enlisted into the 3rd East Anglian Divisional Field Ambulance, (T.F.) He died on board a hospital ship of wounds received whilst serving as the medical officer for the 7th Bn. Essex Regiment in Gallipoli, after a shell burst in his dugout. He was taken to the 1/3rd East Anglian Field Ambulance with compound fracture of both legs, and was very carefully attended to by Major J Turtle, and a special squad who were detailed to take him to the casualty clearing station. He died from his wounds on a hospital ship and was buried at sea. Alexander was the husband of Margaret Graham of 64 Grove Road, Wanstead, London.
