Other Information:Kenneth was educated at Bellahouston Accademy, where he was a prominent swimmer and footballer; and at Glasgow University, where he graduated M.B. and Ch.B. in 1915. He joined the RAMC as a temporary lieutenant immediately after he had qualified, and was promoted to temporary captain on completion of a year's service. He went to France in 1916 as medical officer to a battalion of the Lancashire Fusiliers, but was invalided home in 1917. In 1918 he volunteered again for service, and July 1918 was attached as medical officer to the 1st/5th Bn. Highland Light Infantry. He received a fatal wound at Moevres. Kenneth was the second son of Dr William Ross of Ibrox, Glasgow.
