Other Information:Charles was educated at the Royal School, Dungannon and Glasgow University, qualifying L.R.C.P., L.R.C.S., L.R.F.P.S. (Glas) in 1906 and D.H.P. (Dub) in 1910. [University and Anderson College, Glasgow]. He played rugby as Wing. Charles received a commission within the RAMC, TF and entered the war in Egypt in September 1914. He was at some point wounded. He received a temporary commission as Captain within the Royal Flying Corps from 1st April 1918.
