Other Information:Frederick enlisted on 14th October 1905. He was 19 years and 4 months old, and was an Indoor Labourer by trade. He entered the war in France on 12th August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 2nd Bn. Lancashire Fusiliers. On 21st February 1915 he received a severe gunshot wound to his head. He also received a severe gunshot wound to his right leg and neck on 12th May 1917, and was evacuated to No 10 General Hospital, Rouen. He tansferred to the Labour Corps on 2nd June 1919, and was posted to the British Expeditionay Force in France 15 days later, on the 17th. He was admitted into hospital on 21st August 1919, then he was invalided back to the UK. On 7th November 1919 he was discharged "no longer physically fit for war service.
