Other Information:Alfred entered the war in France on 13th August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 1st Bn. Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. He had been serving with the 141st Field Ambulance when, on 9th February 1918, he was awarded 28 days Field Punishment, No 1 for overstaying his pass to the UK by 24 hours and was handed over to the A.P.M., 1st Div to undergo this punishment. On 21st May 1919 he proceeded to the Concentration Camp for dispersal and was struck off the strength of the unit.
