Other Information:Albert lived Eastern House, Broadwater, Sussex. He entered the war in France on 22nd August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 1st Bn. Rifle Brigade. His name is on a list of R.A.M.C. personnel who were taken captive by the Germans up to & including 31st December 1914 [List kindly provided by Steve Mattocks]. He was taken captive at Les Fontaine (Cambrai) on 26th August 1914, then sent to the prisoner of war camp 'Doberitz' in Germany on 14th September 1914. After he repatriation he transferred to the Cheshire Regiment on 24th January 1917. He then transferred again to the Labour Corps on 14th May 1917.
