Other Information:William's surname was Pullen but served under the alias of William Pulling. He enlisted on 19th August 1902, after serving with the 3rd Bn. Royal Sussex Regiment in South Africa 1901-1902. He was 19 years and 8 months old, and was a Groom by trade. He entered the war in France on 14th August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 1st Bn. Royal West Kent Regiment. He served on the Western Front until 1st December 1917 when he left for Italy. Returning to the Western Front on 5th April 1918, he served there until 28th January 1919 when he returned to the UK. He was discharged from the colours on 20th March 1919.
