Other Information:Falkiner was educated in the Medical School of the R.C.S.I., Dublin and took the diplomas of L.R.C.P. and S.I. in 1907. He entered the R.A.M.C. as lieutenant on 4th February 1908, then served in India until 1914, during which time he gained promotion to captain on 4th August 1911. Falkiner returned to the UK at the outbreak of war, entering in France on 12th October 1914 as medical officer to the 1st Bn. Seaforth Highlanders. He returned to India in 1916 and served there until he died of influenza at Mhow, Rajputana.
