Other Information:Edmond was educated at St Andrew’s College, Dublin; at Corrig School, Kingstown, and at Trinity College, Dublin - where he was a medical student, and graduated M.B. in March 1915. During his these years, he was a keen athlete and played football for his college First and Second XV. Shortly after graduating, Edmond joined the R.A.M.C. Special Reserve, being gazetted Lieutenant on 13th August 1914. He gained promotion to Captain after a years service, and entered the war in France on 9th September 1915. He was killed at the Bauemont Gateway, Arras. His Colonel wrote that they had all loved him dearly, and added that his work in the trenches during and after the Battle of Loos would never be forgotten by the Seaforths. Edmond was the second son of the Rev. Edmond Robinson, M.A., T.C.D., Vicar of St Paul’s Parish, Glenageary, co. Dublin, and Anna Elizabeth Robinson (daughter of the Rev. Canon Alexander Delap, B.A., Rector of Valencia Island, co. Kerry and of co. Donegal) of St. Paul's Vicarage, Glenageary, Co. Dublin.
