Other Information:George enlisted on 29th May 1913. He was 20 years and 1 month old, and was an Upholsterer by trade. He entered the war in France on 12th August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 2nd Bn. South Staffordshire Regiment. On 14th March 1918 he was gassed whilst in action and was evacuated back to the UK, returning on 27th August 1918. After returning to the UK he served with the 2nd Northern General Hospital. He was transferred to Section "B" Army Reserve on demobilization on 5th August 1919. His home address was 106 Lonsdale Road, Bradford.
