Other Information:Athur attested on 11th December 1915, he was 37 years old, a Window Cleaner by trade and living at 19 Lovelase Gardens, Southend on Sea at the time. He was mobilized on 4th June 1917 and joined the R.A.M.C. and posted to 'R' Coy on the 6th. On 25th February 1918 he embarked on H.M.H.S. 'Glenart Castle' and was reported missing, believed drowned on 26th after the hospital ship was torpedoed. His death was accepted by the War Office on lapse of time. Athur was the son of Arthur and Sarah Brown of 125 Milton Street, Maidstone; and the husband of Rosa Florence Brown.
