Henry was called up for general servce and enlisted into the RAMC on the 31st May 1917. He was 40 years and 122 days old, a Pottery Dipper by trade, and was living at 85 Luin Road, New Basford, Nottingham at the time. Henry was the husband of Ada Donnelly of 85 Zulu Road, New Basford, Nottingham.
