Frank entered the war in France on 16th August 1914 with the 1st Cavalry Field Ambulance. He was drowned when the Hospital Ship “Anglia”, he was serving on, struck a mine and sunk one mile east of Folkestone gate. He was the son of Edward and Emily Hardy of 117 Weston Street, Bermondsey, London.
