Frederick resided in Kilburn, N.W. He entered the war in France on 25th August 1914 with No 11 General Hospital. He joined the 141st Field Ambulance on 31st August 1916. On 7th January 1917 he transferred to No 18 General Hospital for duty. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his services in France. He continued to serve after the war under the service number 7245553, receiving the General Service Medal, with clasp, for services in Iraq.
