Other Information:Harry was educated at The Greystones School, Scarborough. He enlisted on 27th September 1915. He was 20 years and 5 months old, and an assistant dispenser by trade. He embarked at Southampton on 15th March 1916 on SS "Queen Alexandra", then disembarking the next day at Rouen he entered the war in France on 16th March 1916. He was posted to serve with No 26 General Hospital on the 21st March, then on the 22nd May joined the St John Ambulance Brigade Hospital. On 30th April 1918, he was registered as a dispenser. Harry was killed whilst carrying out his duties in the St John Ambulance Brigade Hospital during an air raid. His Commanding Officer wrote: "I had the greatest possible respect for your son; he was one of the most honest and conscientious workers I ever had the pleasure to meet, and I feel his death most keenly." Harry was the younger son of Robert and Lilian Clark (daughter of William Johnson of Easington, Hull ) of 44 High Street, Scunthorpe, Co. Lincoln.
