Other Information:Frank enlisted on 26th August 1908. He was 21 years old and a chemist assistant by trade. He joined at Aldershot on 3rd September. On 16h June 1913, he was appointed Lance Corporal, then gained promoted to Corporal on 10th August 1914. Frank entered the war in France 5 days later, on the 15th, with No 10 Stationary hospital. He gained further promoted to Serjeant on 12th October, and remained with this unit until 12th April 1916, when he was transferred to serve with No 5 Ambulance Flotilla. Whilst on leave, on 20th December 1917, he married Maude Binns at Walsall, Staffs. On 18th January 1918 he transferred to serve with No 38 Ambulance Train, then on 2nd March transferred again to serve with No 14 Ambulance Train. He was promoted to Staff Serjeant on 2nd April, then transferred again to No 37 Ambulance Train on the 17th May. Frank rejoined No 14 Ambulance Train on 19th May 1918, but was posted to No 43 Ambulance Train, ten days later on 29th. He gained the appointed of Acting Quartermaster Serjeant (with pay) on 2nd June 1918, and was promoted to temporary Warrant Officer, Class II on 22nd June. Frank left France, at Rouen, and went to serve in Italy. He arrived there on 26th September 1918. On 12th October he was posted to serve with No 30 Stationary Hospital, then on the 21st September to No 62 General Hospital. He was demobilized after the war on 20th June 1919, and was finally discharged from the army on 25th August 1920.
