Other Information:Frederick was educated at St Catherine’s School in Chester, then was employed as a Fireman on the Ferry Boats. He joined the R.A.M.C. in August 1914, and entered the war in France on 1st May 1915. He died from fever contracted while on active service. A letter written from the hospital on behalf of his comrades said: “We, his tent mates, mourn his loss, as his laugh and smile was always with us. You have assurance that he played his part and did his duty faithfully.” Frederick was the husband of Sarah Jane (daughter of Albert Bryant of Seacombe) - married at Birkenhead in April 1908. They had four children.
