Other Information:James joined the 141st Field Ambulance for duty from Base Details on 18th February 1917. On 4th October 1917 he proceeded to report to the office of the Assistant Director of Medical Services, 1st Division for temporary duty. He rejoined the 141st Field Ambulance on the 18th October. On 11th December 1917 he again proceeded to report to the office of the Assistant Director of Medical Services, 1st Division for temporary duty. On 21st January 1918 he was awarded 7 days Field Punishment No 1 for overstaying his pass to the UK by one day. He proceeded to No 1 Concentration Camp, Cologne for dispersal on 17th July 1919, and was struck off the strength of the unit.
