Henry entered the war in France on 23rd August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 32nd Brigade. Royal Field Artillery. He was serving on-board the hospital ship "Asturias" when the ship was torpedoed off Start Point, Lannacome Bay between the 20th and 21st March 1917.
