My grandfather first served in the 1st Battalion Gloucester Regiment as a Private in the Infantry (7428).This was from 1904 until 1907 during which he spent almost 2 years in Ambala, India.
He was discharged at Gosport and transferred to the Army reserve RAMC number 3751.
He was born at Oldland near Bristol 29th May 1884 and died 29th January 1955 at Yate near Bristol.
