Leslie was married in 1918; his marriage certificate states he was a Corporal in the RAMC and also a furniture salesman by trade. He also served in World War Two in the ARP as an air raid warden and as a porter at Sussex County Hospital during and after the war. He and his wife Victoria May Barber were awarded the Defence Medal after the war. Leslie was the son of William Barber and Ada Morris. He was living at 255 Freshfield Road, Brighton when he died.
