Other Information:

Philip enlisted into the RAMC on the 9th December 1915. He was 24 years old, lived at 133 Francis Road, Leyton, London, and was an optician by trade. He remained on Army Reserve until the 20th March 1916, when he began active service in the UK, serving until the 27th September 1919. During this time Philip was promoted to L/Cpl on the 15th May 1916 and gained the rank of Sjt on the 31st March 1917. Philip was transferred to Z Reserve, with 8 Coy, on the 28th September 1919 until he was discharged from HMF on the 31st March 1920. Philip was the son of Alfred Bellany and Charlott Dale.
