Other Information:Fred enjoyed playing hockey and was a member of the Sion Baptist Church and Sunday School. He had been employed by his father, who was a medical herbalist at 28, Daneshouse Road. He entered the war in Egypt on 11th August 1915. He was onboard H.M. Transport Ship 'Royal Edward' when it was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine UB-14. He was the husband of Mrs Richmond of 7 Brennand Street, Burnley, Lancashire.
